The typical Alpine house is situated in the heart of Gorenjska region, on the slopes of Begunjšcica mountain and just above the village Begunje na Gorenjskem. The village is well known for brothers Avsenik – the founders of the most popular Slovenian folkmusic group called 'Bratje Avsenik', and also for the world famous factory of alpine skis – Elan. Once ment only as a weekend house, we changed it in 2007 into a full equipped family detached house. A private asphalt road leads to the house from where you have a wonderful view of the valley below and of a mountain region above.
The house has two floors. On the first floor there is a kitchen with a dining-room, a living room with a fireplace, a bedroom, a bathroom and a beautiful balcony in the Alpine style. Upstairs there are three more rooms / bedrooms, another bathroom and a balcony, which offers you a view from Zgornjesavska valley to Jelovica mountains.
It is ideal for all who like barbecues, as there is a top equipped garden fireplace, where you can grill everything from fresh vegetables to juicy beefsteaks. The neighbourhood is extremely friendly and helpfull. The whole community is known for its safety, too.
The location itself is ideal not only for those, who like going to the mountains, but also for those, who like taking a swim in the most famous Slovenian lake Bled, only a few kilometres away! Here are some starting points to the nearest hills like Sv.Peter, Sankaška koca, but also to higher mountains like Begunjšcica, Planinca, Stol, Dobrca and many more.
Traditionally cold winters , rich with snow will invite you to the closest Slovenian ski resorts Krvavec and Vogel , but also the Austrian ones are not far away.
Although the house is situated in the heart of nature, it is only a few kilometres away from the motorway A1, Karavanke tunnel – Ljubljana. It is only a 30 kilometres drive to the capital of Slovenia.
