El Castillo is a family owned tropical forest reserve FSBO in the highest and most exclusive lands in las Nubes (The Clouds) in Managua, Nicaragua. Since 1915 El Castillo has been a family owned retreat on Managua highlands, where we enjoyed two waterfalls, cave exploration, hiking, birdwatching and taught generations about wildlife and nature.
The 108.57ha property has three mayor environmental elements that make it unique, it has four permanent natural freshwater sources El Brujo and El Castillo that feed the Las Nubes river and the El Brujo creek, its tropical tree canopy with tall species and abundant foliage, and its rich wildlife raging from howler monkeys to margays. Climate averages between 18ºC to 19.5ºC and cool winds covering the land with beautiful fog and breeze, make it a movie-like scenery, its tallest point stands at 850masl and its lowest at 500masl.
But it´s time to let others enjoy it since we have grown old and want somebody to keep taking care of this natural reserve. We have it up for sale by owner if interested give us a call or send an email.
El Castillo property is distributed in two main areas, natural forest about 47% of the total property and an agroforestry with 53%. Supported and in compliance with Land Protection from FUNDENIC and Hydrous Footprint Compensation Program from Compañia Cervecera de Nicaragua S.A.
